Day 5: going out with a bang!
Our final day - and what a line up to finish it off!
Political Forecaster Knight Kiplinger. See http://kiplingerforecasts.com/ - this man is amazing, and has a large staff working with him to produce accurate political forecasts about what is likely to happen in the future - politically, economically, socially. We had a great breakfast together and really discussed in detail how to make predictions about the future using existing data, as well as some of the happenings around DC ...
Senate Majority leader Bill Frist. See above entry. An amazing man - and, according to Fox News, maybe the next president?

Ambassador to Pakistan. The Pakistani embassy is beautiful, and they were extremely hospitable to us (a big thanks to Bilal for helping set this up, along with Najla!). Here's Najla giving a thank you gift ... she was invited up on the panel (along with the ambassador to the USA - a retired 4 star general!) to speak! =)

Governor of the Reserve Bank Kevin Warsh and Chairman Ben Bernanke. WOW is all you can say when you walk into the Federal Reserve board room. It is an amazing room - we were even allowed to take pictures ... look who's chair I'm sitting in?

We had a great discussion with newly appointed Governor Warsh and a brief chat with the Chairman himself - whilst we got no tips on where interest rates are going, we got a great insight into the fascinating way they make that decision ...
Jim Lambright of the Export/Import Bank and Sarah Taylor, Political Adviser to the President. These were great meetings to finish off the trip. But - here's a challenge - can you spot the difference between our own Keith Pund and Jim Lambright, the head of the EXIM bank?!

And then the nightlife! That's for another entry. What an incredibly memorable night ...
